1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. These terms of use (hereinafter – the Terms) govern access to and use of AMLTRIX, an open-source, community-driven knowledge graph developed and maintained by UAB “AMLyze”, a legal entity duly incorporated and operating under the laws of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – the Administrator).
1.2. These Terms apply to the use of AMLTRIX as a platform but do not govern the licensing of its content. The licensing terms applicable to all AMLTRIX content, including user-generated contributions, are set out in the AMLTRIX License terms, which are based on the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
1.3. The Terms apply to any individual (hereinafter – the Users) who accesses, browses, or retrieves information from AMLTRIX, submits, modifies, or contributes content to AMLTRIX, or interacts with AMLTRIX in any other capacity covered by the Terms.
1.4. By accessing, browsing, or using AMLTRIX in any manner, including submitting contributions, users confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms. If a user does not agree with the Terms, they must refrain from using AMLTRIX.
2. USER-GENERATED CONTENT AND CONTRIBUTION RULES
2.1. AMLTRIX contains both content published by the Administrator and user-generated content submitted by Users (hereinafter – the Contributions). All Contributions are curated by a team of experts of the Administrator to ensure accuracy and relevance before being published on AMLTRIX. The Administrator reserves the right to edit, modify, or remove any Contributions at its sole discretion.
2.2. All Contributions submitted to AMLTRIX are subject to the same licensing terms as other AMLTRIX content as set out in the AMLTRIX License Terms.
2.3. Contributions published on AMLTRIX shall include a reference to the source material cited by the User. The Administrator reserves the right to remove or reject Contributions that lack proper citations or fail to meet the required standards of accuracy and reliability.
2.4. Users submitting Contributions to AMLTRIX must ensure that the content complies with the content guidelines established by the Administrator. The Contributions guidelines define the topics and subject matter relevant to AMLTRIX. Contributions that do not align with the content guidelines may be rejected or removed at the Administrator’s discretion.
2.5. Users may submit Contributions to AMLTRIX by completing an online submission form. The submission form requires the User to provide an email address and either their full name and surname or a chosen nickname. In such case, the selected name or nickname shall be published in the public list of Users who submitted Contributions to AMLTRIX.
2.6. Users may submit content to AMLTRIX anonymously. In such cases the Users shall not be required to specify their email address and either their full name and surname or a chosen nickname. In such case, the User shall not be credited for their Contributions.
2.7. The Administrator reserves the right to remove any Contributions that are factually incorrect, misleading, or otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of AMLTRIX. Users who repeatedly submit inaccurate or misleading Contributions may be banned from making further Contributions.
3. DISCLAIMERS
3.1. The Administrator does not warrant that the information available on AMLTRIX is exhaustive or that it documents all known cases, techniques, or methods of money laundering. The content available on AMLTRIX is intended as a knowledge resource and may not encompass undisclosed techniques, variations, or emerging trends in money laundering activities. Users acknowledge that the absence of a specific technique or method within AMLTRIX does not imply that such technique or method does not exist.
3.2. All documents, materials, and information available on AMLTRIX are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The Administrator, its affiliates, employees, agents, and contributors disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, completeness, non-infringement, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
3.3. The use of AMLTRIX and its content does not guarantee compliance with any legal, regulatory, or anti-money laundering requirements. The information available on AMLTRIX is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, regulatory, or professional advice. Users remain solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and must seek independent legal or professional advice where necessary.
3.4. The Administrator, its affiliates, employees, agents, and contributors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to financial losses, regulatory penalties, reputational harm, or any other damages arising from the use of, reliance on, or inability to use AMLTRIX content.
3.5. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Administrator, its affiliates, employees, agents, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or related to the User’s use of AMLTRIX, reliance on its content, or violation of the Terms.
4. PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
4.1. The Administrator processes the personal data of Users who submit contributions to AMLTRIX in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 also known as the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter – GDPR).
4.2. Personal data processing applies only to Users who submit contributions non-anonymously. If a User submits a contribution anonymously, no personal data is collected or processed by the Administrator.
4.3. When submitting a contribution to AMLTRIX, Users are required to provide an email address and either their full name and surname or a chosen nickname. The name or nickname provided by the User shall be publicly visible alongside the published contribution.
4.4. In addition to any information voluntarily provided, the Administrator may collect technical metadata related to a submission, such as IP address and timestamp. This data is processed to support the integrity and security of the AMLTRIX platform, assist in moderation efforts, and deter malicious or abusive contributions. It is not used for public attribution or profiling and is handled in accordance with our data processing policy.
4.5. Personal data collected through AMLTRIX is used exclusively for the purposes of content curation, moderation, and ensuring compliance with these Terms and GDPR. The Administrator shall not disclose personal data to any third parties except for cases where the disclosure is mandated by a court order, applicable laws or at the request of a competent national or international institution.
4.6. Users have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data in accordance with GDPR. Requests related to the processing of personal data may be submitted to the Administrator via email at [email protected].
4.7. The Administrator implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard Users' personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, Users acknowledge that no data transmission or storage system is completely secure, and the Administrator cannot guarantee absolute security of personal data.
5. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
5.1. The Administrator reserves the right to update, modify, or amend the Terms at any time. Any modifications to the Terms will take effect from the date of publication on the AMLTRIX website. Users are responsible for reviewing the Terms periodically to ensure continued compliance. Continued use of AMLTRIX after any modifications to the Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
5.2. The Administrator reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to AMLTRIX for any User who violates the Terms, attempts to disrupt the platform, submits misleading or unauthorized content, or engages in any conduct that is inconsistent with the purpose of AMLTRIX. The Administrator shall exercise sole discretion in determining whether a User’s actions warrant such measures.
